Description: 

Project included the removal of 11 creosote-treated timber piles and replacement with ACZA-treated timber piles at the Squalicum Way Pier. The work also included the replacement of chocks and bull rail for the piling being replaced.

Birch Bay Village Dredging
Birch Bay Village Community Club

Description: 

On multiple occasions, BOSS has dredged the entrance to the Birch Bay Village Marina providing safe passage for boat traffic. In addition to the actual dredging itself, it requires construction of a gravel-diked containment area on the adjacent beach to contain the dredged material from the channel. This method allows for gradual tidal disbursement of material back to the sound.

Edmonds Mid-Waterfront Walkway/ Bulkhead Project

Description: 

While constructing this award winning project, BOSS removed 570 lf of timber bulkhead, installed 7,441 sf of auger-cast soldier pile wall with curved structural cap and architectural top cap, installed cement concrete walkway pavers, concrete stairs and stops, placed a new storm drain system and completed extensive landscaping work. Received the 2004 American Public Works Association Award for Project of the Year, the 2004 Washington Aggregates and Concrete Association Award for Excellence in Concrete Construction and the 2003 American Society of Civil Engineers Outstanding Project Award for Excellence in Site Development.

Project included the development of a rock quarry, building a quarry rock containment dike, dredging the harbor, site utilities and constructing a parking lot.

Tolt Log Boom

Description: 

On the upper third of the Tolt River reservoir, BOSS installed a first-of-its-kind log boom. This log boom was assembled with five special-made recycled plastic pilings with stainless steel fasteners and a custom trash rack on top.
